Project Leader: Miranda Satterly '17
The Tech 101 project emphasizes the EC Enactus team’s focus this year of enriching lives through technology. Specifically, this project has been built to teach middle school students, business professionals, and elderly people about different facets of technology. Our middle school segment will work with two area schools to teach cyber safety. Our business professionals segment partnered with community business leader Brandon Saylor, who gave a presentation about “The Power of Social Media in your Professional Life.” We had approximately 20 attendees (all EC students) at this event on February 18th, all of whom set professional goals tailored to their own aspirations, then learned means of implementing and working towards these goals. Finally, our elderly segment intends to work with a local Red Hatters chapter to teach some technology basics.
